Passengers are now happy

In 1903, the first airplane was invented. Now, almost one hundred years later, airplanes are continuing to improve. A company named Molon Labe Seating Company just made an invention which will save airline companies thousands of dollars.

Typically, the middle seat is considered the worst place to sit on airplanes, but this new proposition could make it much more desirable. Molon Labe Seat Company has made the middle seat wider than the other two seats, making the plane ride more comfortable for passengers.

According to Molon Labe Seat Company, “The problem is passengers are miserable, and it is taking too long to board.” Their solution to this problem is the “Side-Slip Seat”.

The “Side-Slip Seat” will bring many advantages to passengers left with the middle seat, including an extra three inches.

Planes will now have a dedicated armrest for all of the passengers. With the “Side-Slip Seat”, this becomes possible because the middle seat is slightly stronger than all the others as well as being pushed back 2 inches.

For those who need a wheelchair, the aisle will also become wheelchair accessible. The aisles will be larger because the aisle seat is capable of sliding, as the name suggests. Passengers sitting in the back of the plane will board first, beginning with those in the window and middle seats. According to Today.com, “The aisle seats are the last ones to load to keep the aisles wide for as long as possible.”

Having larger aisles will allow for two people to be in the aisle at once. One person can be putting their carry on in the above storage while others walk past them to keep the flow of traffic moving. The faster planes are being boarded, the more money airlines will save and the sooner passengers can reach their destinations.
