Chapter 20: Zach James

Not everyday does one get the opportunity to see a 6’5” and 300 pound man wandering around the school, but at Pleasant Valley we get to see one everyday. Zach James, junior, at Pleasant Valley was born in St. Roberts, Missouri outside of Ft. Leanordwood where both of his parents were stationed in the military. Zach has moved around a lot as a youth, he lived in Florida for two years, and then moved to Iowa shortly afterwards. He originally was in the Davenport community school district, but transferred to pleasant valley for academic and athletic purposes.

Zach James also is on the pleasant valley football team as you could imagine with his big frame. But the sport that he excels at the most is bowling. Zach is an all-state bowler, and has bowled a perfect game two times in his career.

Along with athletics, he loves to hammack with friends and eat food in his free time.

Zach James has always been a big guy most of his life. Matter of fact according to him the first thing that people say to him is, “wow you’re a big guy”. He says that at times it gets annoying but at other times it can be a mood booster.

Zach prides himself in leaving his life to the fullest and his life motto is don’t question, just do.
