As the holiday season comes to an end, many people have enjoyed the great delicacies in the season. Foods such as cookies, cakes and eggnog are very popular during this time. Moreover, there are other foods that are also very popular this season. 

  1. Mashed potatoes

This food is a must in the Christmas season, because of the taste and tradition. Mashed potatoes are popular all over the country and many people enjoy the creamy taste of the foods. 

  1. Turkey

This food is also very popular, because of the varieties in the style. People can eat turkey with stuffing, sauces and sides. The flexibility of this dish makes it a favorite for people this season. 

  1. Pumpkin Pie

The favorites of many,  pumpkin pie is a delicious blend of pie crust and pumpkin spice flavor. This dish is mostly present at every table during the holidays and when eaten with whipped cream, its very delicious.

Akash Pradeep is currently a senior in high school and will serve as the Feature Editor for the Spartan Shield Online. Akash has an older sister who recently graduated college and a twin brother, Ani. Akash is a proud member of the Spartan Band and plays the trombone for the school. Akash is also an avid fan of sports. He cheers for the Green Bay Packers during the football season and shows his support for the Chicago Bulls during the professional basketball season. Akash is also heavily involved in the IFL, a two-hand touch football league that was started … by him and few friends. The league now has a large following and has games often. Akash post high school plans include studying medicine at an undetermined university. Akash spent his summer spending time outside with friends, volunteering at the blood bank, and had a job shadow gig with a local doctor. Akash is a great member of Spartan Nation and is bound to make them proud.
