Your donation will support the student journalists of Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa. Your contribution will allow us to purchase needed equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
Laci Roberts is a senior at Pleasant Valley High School and works as a copy editor for The Shield this year. Outside the classroom she loves riding horses, participating in the Pleasant Valley Theater Department and is a member of the Pleasant Valley Trap Team. Some of her hobbies include watching cheesy cop shows and crocheting. She plans to continue her education with a double major in psychology and criminology in hope of becoming a criminal psychologist. You can always find her with a coffee in hand taking life day by day.
Kendall Jarvis, senior, is the News Editor for the Spartan Shield. She is involved in dance after school and is a member of the National Honor Society. She also works at her mom’s office and volunteers for her church. Outside of her activities, Jarvis spends time with her friends and family. She has two brothers, Josh and Tim, one sister, Jenny, a nephew, Hudson, and her parents, Sue and Doug. Next year, Kendall will be attending Tulane University in New Orleans where she plans to double major in business management and political science. Through working with the Spartan Shield, Jarvis hopes to learn more about Pleasant Valley and the community.
