Chapter 5: Korryn Taghon
Everyone at Pleasant Valley knows who Korryn Taghon is, and if they don’t, then they need to. Korryn is recognized as the blonde sassy girl who walks down the halls with a smile beaming on her face. Unlike other students, Korryn was born extra special with Down Syndrome. Many people say they haven’t met a person with down syndrome that isn’t smiling, this is very true when it comes to Korryn.
Korryn likes to spend her days with her family, consisting of her mom, dad and sister. She also spends her time with her friends Christian, Sydney, and Paige. She met many of these friends through activities such as Shining Stars, Pleasant Valley Singers, and Hand in Hand. Korryn loves to dance, so much so, she even has a dance move named after her known as the “Korryn Move.” At Shining Stars, Korryn is always seen showing off her moves and helping other girls embrace their inner diva.
On the other hand, in school, Korryn is a hardworking, focused student. While her least favorite subject is gym, she loves learning more and more in the science room. Korryn currently has a job at Hall of Fame where she shows off her fabulous personality to many customers.
But outside of school and activities, Korryn enjoys being at home and watching Netflix. Her favorite shows include Austin and Ally and Liv and Maddie from Disney Channel. Korryn also gave a secret away, her obsession for taking selfies. “I can’t help it, I love taking selfies!” says Korryn. When she is ready for a snack after her hard work in perfecting selfies, Korryn goes straight for some mashed potatoes.
Korryn’s personality beams throughout PVHS, and now each student can have an insight for more than just Korryn’s sassy personality.
