Chapter 12: Ike Sears

Isaac Sears, or Ike for short, is a senior at Pleasant Valley. He is described by his classmates as many things: a jokester, an incredibly intelligent individual, and a kind person.

Sears is well-known for his intelligence among his classmates. He has been a recurring honor student every semester and challenges himself with AP and honors classes. Sears plans on attending Northwestern University in the fall,  but he has not yet decided on a major. Sears is largely involved at Pleasant Valley.

Aside from his classes, Sears is also very involved at school with history bowl, national honor society, student council, and the math team, who recently went to nationals. In addition, he is very involved with music and has been playing both the cello and the piano for over ten years.

Outside of the classroom, Sears enjoys practicing his instruments and hanging out with his friends. He enjoys reading and listening to his favorite musician, Foster the People.

Sears and his family have also spent a lot of time traveling. Sears said, “I’ve been to Europe a few times, and I have some friends in Paris that I enjoy visiting.” He also recalled a story of a time that his family took a trip to the Grand Canyon, and he got lost!
