This past Sunday, the annual Emmys aired on television for millions of fans to watch and cheer on their favorite shows. Jimmy Kimmel led the show with laughter and pride while presenting amazing actors and actresses. The night began with celebrities glammed up, including Sarah Paulson, from the shows The People v. O.J. Simpson and American Horror Story, whom walked the red carpet in an emerald green dress by designer, Karla Welch. Priyanka Chopra arrived at the Emmys in a beautiful, flowy red dress designed by Jason Wu. Kerry Washington soon walked in after in a stunning black dress, accentuating her baby bump, designed by Brandon Maxwell. These women were looked at as the Best Dressed of the 68th Emmys.

These amazing actors, actresses and shows received major awards. Their screaming fans could not keep calm hearing the names of their show being called a winner. According to Bryan Bishop (The Verge) “Murphy’s American Horror Story helped launch the idea of anthology show as we know it today, leading to shows like Fargo and True Detective” and also The People v. O.J. Simpson. These shows have created what is now known as “some of the best acting on television” says Bishop. The Emmys this year was a jaw dropper. Many people can’t wait to see what next year brings.
