Soccer, the greatest sport of all time, is finally starting to become popular in the United States! When the U.S. didn’t qualify for this past world cup hearts were shattered into millions of pieces, but it may have been a blessing in itself because now awareness for soccer has risen considerably.

The Major League Soccer or MLS now has more viewers than ever. More and more high quality players are entering the league and U.S. soccer is on it’s way to become one of the major soccer leagues of the world. Such high quality players like David Villa, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Wayne Rooney have all made a tremendous impact on the league and the quality of U.S. soccer. On top of that they have also lured their personal fan bases into MLS and have contributed to an increased media coverage of U.S. soccer. Top player Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for example, has been absolutely amazing for LA Galaxy, one of the top teams in the MLS, and already has created a huge American fan base for himself.

Moving over to the national team, the U.S. has already made leaps and bounds. Before the World Cup, the U.S., coming off played an international friendly against France and put out a completely new, young, inexperienced, but talented squad. The result was 1-1! That’s amazing considering France has a ton of talented players and would go on to win the 2018 World Cup, the biggest sport prize for any player and country.

The U.S. national team is slowly evolving into a really deadly team! The undiscovered youth soccer talent in the United States is just waiting to be uncovered! With proper coaches, scouts, and systems, the U.S. will be destined for greatness!

People in the U.S. were all about “football, football, football” or “basketball, basketball, basketball.” Now chants of “soccer” are growing in number and that is awesome! More and more youngsters are getting involved in soccer and are actively following the sport. Even some people who were previously disinterested are now active fans. It’s amazing how quickly soccer has taken ahold of the U.S. and it goes to show just how great the sport is!

For those who want to get a firsthand experience of the most competitive soccer, 2026 is your year! What’s so important about 2026? Well, it’s going to be the year when the U.S. co-hosts the World Cup with Canada and Mexico!!! The 2026 World Cup will be only the second time the U.S. hosted the men’s World Cup. The last time the U.S. hosted the World Cup was in 1994 and it was, “It was the most financially successful tournament ever, despite the lack of a strong American national team.https://www.si.com/soccer/2018/06/13/when-was-last-time-usa-hosted-world-cup. It will no doubt be even more successful this time around.

The U.S. is on a great path to success in the soccer world! The financial gain from the 2026 World Cup will be astronomical and maybe…just maybe one day Americans can celebrate a World Cup win.
