Homecoming: Fashion Police

Homecoming%3A+Fashion+Police

Many outstanding dresses were worn to this year’s, “A Trip to Paris” themed Pleasant Valley Homecoming. From floral prints, to solid simple colors with glamorous accents, all of the Pleasant Valley girls rocked their homecoming dresses. Finding the perfect dress isn’t always easy, but when it came to these few girls, finding their style within a dress came naturally.

Sophomore Kelly Brewer wore a stunning baby blue two-piece with a sparkly solid long sleeve top, and a floral skirt to compliment it. Brewer said, “I chose the dress because it’s been in my closet for a really long time and it’s my brother’s girlfriend’s. I couldn’t find a dress that I liked and I always kept going back to that one. It fit perfectly so I decided it was the best option!” A perfect decision on Kelly’s part, her dress was the right amount of simple, yet eye-catching and stylish.

Senior Makenley Miller-Skinner rocked her simple yellow homecoming dress with a modern lace-up back throughout the night. Spicing her dress up with cute purple accent colors and a sparkly choker, her dress fit her perfectly. Skinner said, “I loved my dress because the front was so simple and it was an open back that crisscrossed. I loved how simple it was because I could dress it up with the sparkly necklaces, and I could go all out for my makeup. The color yellow is really in, so I wanted to wear a yellow dress for at least one of my senior dances.” Being that bright dresses are in for the spring/summer feel, Makenley chose the perfect dress to compliment her style!

Sophomore Paige Odefey wore a chic, off-the-shoulder, champagne pink dress, with a silver sparkly belt to dress it up. Odefey said, “I chose this dress because it was simple and different than any dress I had seen anyone wear. I was looking for a cute, but classy dress and thought this one was perfect!” Off-the-shoulder dresses always pair well with accessories a little more fancy and Paige made this dress look gorgeous with perfectly curled hair and silver sparkly shoes to match her belt!

Senior Lauren Frederick showed off a stunning white Jovani dress with navy accent flowers.  The dress complimented her blonde hair and light skin tone perfectly. Frederick said, “I chose this dress because I loved the floral pattern on the skirt and the open back was a unique feature I haven’t tried before in a dress. It was a beautiful design that caught my eye while I was shopping.” Having a stunning figure and beautiful blonde hair, dress shopping must come easy for Lauren!

Sophomore Ceely Patramanis wore a stylish black and multicolored pink flowered dress to this year’s Homecoming. Patramanis said, “ I chose my dress because I love the different pinks in it and I really wanted something that I could easily match shoes and jewelry with!!” Having a dress with a beautiful pattern always makes it easy to have sophisticated shoes or jewelry to go with!

Senior Nita Medithi wore an elegant off-the-shoulder, long, peach-colored dress with vibrant flowers on the bottom half. Medithi said, “Honestly, I just thought it was really flattering and elegant and suspected no one would be wearing anything too similar because most homecoming dresses are short! I also loved the peach color and liked that while it was longer, the off-the-shoulder top kept it trendy.” Nita’s dress perfectly fit her fashionable, yet charming personality and style!
