It seems to be that lately there has been a lot of violence in the world. The list of recent violence spans from school shootings and riots here in America to ISIS disrupting the middle east. Maybe it seems like it is so much more than it used to be due to technology. Everyone is connected. Everyone can see just about anything they want on the internet, at the touch of their fingertips.
The people are scared they live in distress and the fear of not knowing what could happen to them next. Some may not have that same feeling all the time but everyone fears for their own life at one point or another. We all live in a world filled with haters and disbelievers. This world is full of people who believe that their way to live is the best way. Whether it be religion or a certain way all people should look, they believe their way is the best. People like Hitler or ISIS, wanted to change the world and mold it into what they wanted.
Back before all the violence, back before the fear, There was a sense of safety in certain communities that some don’t believe really exist anymore. Always having the doors and windows opened and unlocked even when people weren’t home. Communities stayed together and didn’t divide amongst themselves, which is a little like what we have now with the black lives matter movement. The unification of the community creates for better understanding and knowledge of what’s going on so that disagreement can be solved easily and peacefully.
The uncertainty that we live with every day is what makes us more fearful of each other than we ever have been before. Because we don’t know what others are capable of or what kind of a person they are.
