Brawl Stars has seen a resurgence among many former players and is gaining traction from new ones due to the variety of new brawlers and game modes available. No matter if you are a new or returning player, these are the top five brawlers to help you get wins and advance along the trophy road.

1. Spike

Spike’s primary attack is a powerful cactus with explosive thorns, aiding on both short and long range maps. His super provides a slowing effect to those caught in it and his gadgets allow for increased damage and may provide cover when being pushed. Spike’s abilities cover nearly every mode of attack, allowing him to be lethal in all game modes.

2. Leon

You may never see him coming. Leon is able to turn invisible for six seconds, providing him more than enough time to get behind enemy lines. He is also able to deploy a decoy, confusing enemies as to his real location. Once he does, his spinner blades will provide a damaging blow from any range. 

3. Shelly

The first brawler available to players, Shelly has a simple yet effective attack. Her boomstick works like a shotgun and is unbeatable in both close range and long range through the help of her gadgets. Her super is capable of slowing enemies and breaking walls, allowing for an easy attack no matter the terrain.

4. Doug

You will have to defeat him twice. Doug’s super returns him or his allies to full health after initially being defeated. This makes any close range attack nearly impossible to execute, as Doug deals an overwhelming amount of damage. He is also able to heal allies, providing an  even stronger team push.

5. Crow

With increased speed and a long range poisoning effect, Crow deals continuous damage to his opponents and is a safe bet for any long range map. His ability to slow enemies and sap their strength is unmatched. His super can fly him into any situation and releases poison darts in all directions, allowing him to take on an entire team.
