Taylor Swift performed 149 concerts across two years, each show including more than three hours of performance from Swift.
The tour celebrated Swift’s 10 different albums, each representing a different era in her life and a distinct vibe. Eventually, the concert extended to add an 11th album after the release of “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Each stop of the tour was filled from front to back with fans excited to see their favorite artist—and one of the biggest artists in the world—perform in sold-out arenas.
The concert begins with her performance of “Cruel Summer,” one of Swift’s most popular songs. From the start of the show, viewers are engaged in the unique props and lighting throughout the entire stadium. This is amplified by the glowing wristbands fans receive prior to the concert.
The lighting design wasn’t the only factor that caught fans attention. The dancers at the Eras Tour received a lot of praise due to their high-energy and athleticism, dancing for hours straight. Moreover, fans noted their professionalism when costume-change errors or technical errors with the set occurred.
One of Swift’s main dancers, Kameron Saunders, gained fan attention because of his over-the-top energy, incredible solo in “Karma” and hilarious lines in “We are Never Getting Back Together.”
Fans loved the backup dancers but came to see Swift perform. Swift never fails to enchant the audience. Throughout the tour, Swift’s live vocals were steady and powerful despite the average of 40 songs she sang each night.
Some memorable vocal performances were her first mash-up of “Is it Over Now” and “Out of the Woods,” a rendition of “Everything has Changed” and “Endgame” with Ed Sheeran and Swift’s final surprise song “Long Live” to capture the memories and the feelings of the last show.
Swift fan Juha Kim enjoyed the entire concert experience and setlist: “I think she did a really outstanding job at performing such a versatile setlist and engaging any audience, both old and new,” noted Kim.
Every tour night was unique as Swift sang an acoustic set filled with a couple of “surprise songs” that were not originally on the set list. Fans predicted which surprise song they thought they would receive, adding to the excitement throughout the tour.
The magic did not stop there. Fans were drawn to the show-stopping and “Bejeweled” outfits throughout the tour, whether it be her beautiful purple “Speak Now” dress, her “Reputation” bodysuit or her sparkly “Lover” bodysuit.
The Eras Tour also served as a means to bring fans together. One way Swifties interacted was through trading Taylor Swift-themed friendship bracelets with their favorite song, lyric or reference.
Fans also curate surprises for Swift. Some favorites were at the Munich show when fans held glowing balloons during “Willow” and at the last show when fans sang “Happy Birthday” to Swift.
The Eras Tour was a magical and “Timeless” experience for fans to “Shake it Off.”
