Ishika Desai, Editor-in-Chief
Ishika Desai is a senior and is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Spartan Shield! Aside from Honors Journalism, her favorite classes are AP Lit and Microbiology. Outside of journalism, Ishika is actively involved in the school through Spartan Assembly and Key Club. She is also heavily involved in the STEM community through robotics and STEM state organizations. Aside from working for the Shield, Ishika loves to go on long walks with her friends, to read a variety of books, or to go to coffee shops. Ishika is thrilled to work for the Shield this year!
Raina Mishra, Copy Editor
Raina Mishra is a senior at Pleasant Valley High School and is a Copy Editor for the Spartan Shield. Raina’s favorite classes are Anatomy and French. She wants to pursue biochemistry at University of Iowa and then have a career in medicine. Outside school she works at the YMCA as a child watch attendant. In her free time, she enjoys baking and painting. She also enjoys listening to music, especially The Weeknd. Raina can’t wait to write articles for the Spartan Shield!
