The Class of 2016 bid farewell to the halls of Pleasant Valley to begin the next chapter in their lives.
The 2016 graduation ceremony was held across the river at the iWireless Center on May 29, allowing an unlimited number of guests per senior to attend. The Class of 2016 graduated about 300 students.
Senior speakers included the Class President, Kendall Beardsley and joining her were Michael Tilka and Rishi Wagle, nominated to speak at the ceremony by their classmates. After four years of making friendships, memories, and good times, the Class of 2016 was ready to end this chapter in their lives and start the beginning of a new one.
The 2016 valedictorians were Zain Khan and Aishwarya Pradeep, who led the senior class in the Pledge of Allegiance. To end the ceremony, Swetha Marisetty and Cortland Johns gave the closing speech and took the obligatory “selfie” with the senior class.
The PV choirs and band performed beautiful and memorable selections, which many students say they will remember for years to come. Many seniors joined in as the choir performed the senior song “For Good” from the musical Wicked.
