The long black coat is the biggest sleek trend for winter styles. The fitting line flatters all body types and the length makes legs look longer. Also, black is a flattering color all the time. It goes with anything, and is hard to see when it gets dirty (A huge plus). The black coat has recently come up in the fashion world. Another popular trend is Hunter boots. While Ugg boots are “so last season”, Hunter boots are versatile, waterproof, and go with virtually anything. Lily Williams, junior states, “I got my Hunter boots six months ago, they’re bright red, and I feel like I can wear them with anything. I definitely got my money’s worth out of them.” Hunter boots come in many different styles and can be purchased online, or at a department store such as Von Maur.
A popular option for both boys and girls is a peacoat. Peacoats have buttons on the front, and have a collared neck. They are mostly worn with nicer outfits. Senior, Maaz Ahmed says, “I think peacoats are very stylish and warm. I wear it with nicer-dressed events. It’s nice because it can go with casual, or nicer outfits.” Peacoats come in different styles for women and men, and can be found in department stores, or online sites such as Ebay.
