Jacan Lueders, an artist and senior at Pleasant Valley, has been chosen as this week’s artist of the week. Lueders has been involved in art since he was a child and his work with graffiti definitely makes him a stand out artist.
Q: How old were you when you first got involved in art?
A: I was about 11 or 12.
Q: What is your favorite type of art?
A: I like graffiti.I don’t know why, it’s just something I grew up doing. Everyone else was doing it so I thought I would try it out and it happened to be what I was good at.
Q: What are some of the art classes you have taken?
A: I’m taking Ceramics now. I’ve taken Drawing, Advanced Drawing, Photography, AP Art, and Art I.
Q: Do you want to be a professional artist?
A: I’ve thought about it but there are other plans that I have, but I’m going to use it as a backup plan.
Q: How do you find inspiration for your art?
A: It just comes to my head and then I do it.
Q: What is your favorite thing about art?
A: It helps me focus and stay out of trouble.
