The global COVID-19 pandemic has brought many of PV students’ favorite pastime activities to a halt leading many people to come up with new hobbies and activities. The following list is a top 5 of PV students’ favorite pandemic pastimes.
#5 – Binge Watching
Although this was likely already one of students’ favorite pastimes, binge watching was one of the most popular responses. Students used their favorite streaming services, like Netflix and Hulu, to watch new TV series or return to old favorites.
#4 – Gaming
With the world on lockdown, many students turned towards their consoles and computers to interact and play with their friends. Popular titles since the beginning of the pandemic include Call of Duty Modern Warfare: Warzone, Fall Guys, and Among Us.
#3 – Being Outside
The long quarantine saw many students stuck in their houses for long periods of time. To get some activity in, lots of PV students turned to the outdoors. The most popular activities include golfing, fishing, and going on walks.
#2 – Sleeping
What happens when you mix free time with high schoolers? Naps. Many students have used this extra freetime to make up for the lost sleep throughout high school. Some students logged upwards of 13 hours of sleep everyday.
#1 – TikTok
The number one spot is to no one’s surprise. The social media platform is growing exponentially, and with so much freetime, many students spent their extra hours mindlessly scrolling through Tik Tok.
