Throughout high school there are a multitude of dress up days where students and faculty members are given the chance to show off their school spirit. There are so many different types of dress up days, and depending on the day and what’s being asked from students, the greater amount of students participating will occur. Many high school students prefer to have something easy to wear to participate in and these are just a few examples of dress up days for students.
- Swap-A-Style (teacher and students)
After the participation from teachers and students this school year, Swap-A-Style day was a fun way to switch things around. It allowed students to embrace their inner teacher and see what staff people wear on the daily. But the better part of this dress-up day is having the teachers dress up as students. Many teachers really get into the dress-up days and it makes for an entertaining day to see how teachers view students and the stereotypical outfits they wear.
- Class Colors
As most high school students tend to be on the lazier side, easy dress up days are best for them. Class colors day allows for people to feel united with their fellow classmates and see who is in what grade throughout the day. Also it is an easy dress up day because students and staff just have to wear a specific color, so it makes it easy for people to participate.
- Graphic T-shirt day
As stated above, high school students like having easy ways to participate in dress up days, many don’t want to draw attention to what they are wearing so the simpler the day, the better. Graphic t-shirt day is a good one because it’s assumed that most people have a graphic t-shirt that they would be willing to wear. Also graphic t-shirts can be purchased practically anywhere so it makes it easy for there to be a large turnout of people participating.
- School Spirit Day
Normally worn on the friday of Homecoming week, school spirit day is an easy way to unite the school in team spirit. At Pleasant Valley,it’s very easy to find Spartan apparel to wear which makes this dress up day very easy to have a high number of participants. Not only does this dress day work at the high school, but it also works as a dress up day throughout the district which is an added bonus.
- Sports Day
Many people have a favorite sports team and lots of logo wear to go with it. This dress-up day allows people to show off their sport teams which so many people are strong fans of. As are the dress up days previously listed, thi dress up day is easy to participate in because it requires something as easy to wear a t-shirt with your favorite team on it. The easier something is to participate in, the more people are going to participate and this dress up day is another example of this.
