With graduation around the corner seniors typically feel a varied range of emotions. Leaving the comfort of a school district that has felt like home for the majority of an individual’s life can be frightening. Above all walking across the stage on graduation day is an accomplishment despite the emotions you feel. Here are the top five graduation songs to help you celebrate your big day.

In My Life

The Beatles  perfectly encapsulates the ups and downs of life with lyrics discussing the joys and sorrows growing up can bring. It is applicable to every stage of life and the melodious tune brings a sense of understanding towards deep rooted emotions.

A World Alone

Lorde strings together painfully relatable lyrics as she discusses the journey of growing up from

one’s adolescent years. The song holds specific lines that are sure to resonate with everyone who lived a teenage experience.

Never Grow Up

Taylor Swift paints a clear picture of all the experiences one has while growing up from being a child to an adult. The song hits close to home as it portrays the lyrics with themes of being an adult while the melody represents a childlike wonder.

I know the end

Phoebe Bridgers is able to mold together the bittersweet parts of moving onto the next chapter in one’s life. It is relatable to many who are leaving to live on their own for the first time.

 Slipping Through My Fingers

ABBA gives a new meaning to the saying “Time is a thief” with this tune. While it is hard for individuals to leave and start a new life, it can be even more challenging for parents to fully come to terms with it.
