- Coca-Cola Foundation Scholarship
- The Coca Cola scholarship is unique in the sense that students within the state compete against each other for the scholarship within the state rather than nationally. This scholarship is given to 150 high school seniors a year. The scholarship also offers a hefty $20,000 to those who become finalists.
- Gates Millennium Scholarship
- The Gates Millenium scholarship is offered to those of African American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American and Hispanic American students descent. Those who compete for this scholarship will need a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.3 out of 4.0. Additionally, this scholarship has continuance for those who want to attend graduate school programs , and it offers an average of $12,785 to 10,000 students annually.
- Iowa Flagship Award Scholarship
- Statistically, the majority of PVHS graduates will attend University of Iowa. The University of Iowa Flagship Award Scholarship is the “full-ride” scholarship for Iowa residents. - National Honor Society Scholarship
Those who are members of National Honor Society are instantly eligible to compete for the National Honor Society Scholarship. General requirements are: Plan to attend a college or university, be a high school senior who will gain a high school degree and being a member of the National Honor Society.
