With finals coming up, many students are stressed and looking for places to relax and prepare for their testing. But where are some of the best places in the Quad Cities to study in the best atmosphere, quietness, and overall ambiance?

1. Starbucks

When it comes to studying in general, Starbucks is always a location. The fresh scent of coffee, the couches and chairs for customers and the quietness available specifically at the Starbucks on Middle Road is nearly unmatched. “I really like its noise level and ambiance,” says junior Aayush Deshpande. “It allows me to immerse myself in my work and takes off some of the stress off of my finals. My house is loud sometimes, and when I can’t go to the library or another quiet room, I always think about going to Starbucks.”

2. Dunn Bros Coffee

Similar to Starbucks but more of a local place, Dunn Bros Coffee on East 53rd place has the advantage of selling cheaper coffee at the same caliber of Starbucks. Once entered, Dunn Bros Coffee’s vibes are unmatched, making it a favorite for talking to friends and studying for finals. The workers have a level of midwest hospitality that you won’t find anywhere else. Additionally, they have more food and drink options than some of their competitors, allowing the shop to be a top 2 place to study around the Quad Cities.

3. Bettendorf Public Library

The Bettendorf Public Library is one of the only places one can go for quietness  and a calm environment to study alone. With its private study rooms and free wifi, the library’s calm atmosphere will allow you to be as productive as possible. Unlike the shops listed above, people who are at the library are all there to quietly read or work on an important task. If serenity and productivity are important to your study environment, the library is one of the only places in the Quad Cities away from school that accomplish this desire.

Overall, there are many great places to go to study for finals. You can even stay at the school commons or teacher classrooms for some time if you have any questions. If any places were missed, please write them in the comments and hopefully another successful final will be amidst.
