This should be your go-to movie if you’re sick of the standard feel-good Christmas movies that have the same romantic plots. This movie is filled with slightly inappropriate humor and family drama. It is a very action packed, fast movie that switches between different families’ Christmases throughout the movie so you are sure to be entertained the whole time. This movie would be perfect to watch with your friends or family, depending on the age of your family members.
2. Our little secret
Our little secret is the perfect movie to watch if you aren’t sick of the classic holiday romance movies. Although this has a similar plot to most romantic Christmas movies, it actually has quality acting that is less likely to make you cringe. The characters are both funny and charming and might even relate to the harsh family dynamic.
3. Carry on
Starring Jason Bateman and Sophia Carson Carry on Has great actors and is action-packed film that follows a mystery at the airport on Christmas day. This is the perfect movie to watch if you’re NOT traveling for Christmas.
4. The Merry Gentlemen
This is another standard holiday movie with a small-town love interest who happens to help save the day. It is filled with attractive actors who put on quite the show. I recommend watching this movie with your friends to avoid the awkwardness of watching shirtless men dance in Christmas suits.
5. Meet me next Christmas
This movie follows a hopeless romantic on her search to find the love of her life. It takes place in New York City and features some iconic holiday music. This is a great watch if you love Pentatonix Christmas music or a classic rom-com.
6. Holidate
Holidate is the last on the least solely due to its predictable nature and poor acting. It is one of the hard-to-watch romance movies where the two main characters claim to hate each other the whole movie, and I’m sure you can guess where it goes from here. It’s still a cozy Christmas movie to watch, but I’d recommend using it as mere background sound.
