Dancing with the Stars Halloween Night celebrates Halloween by the stars dancing to dances about their biggest fears. Below is how I would score the stars’ dances from Halloween Night.
Danny Amendola and Witney Carson:
Score: 8
I believe this dance was heavily overscored. There were a lot of great moments and this dance included the elements that make an Argentine Tango different from other forms of tango. However, I noticed moments where he was offtime from the music which took him down a point. He also seemed stiff at times and could use more fluidity during certain moments.
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson:
Score: 9
I loved the commitment in this dance and the choreography. I would have loved to see more elements of an Argentine Tango but I think it was generally an impactful and technically sound dance.
Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach:
Score: 8
There were a lot of great moments in this dance and I loved the fluidity in his arms and how Dwight Howard implemented his prior critique about using up more space with his movements. However, this dance was full of lifts and I believe it lacked choreography in comparison to other dances.
Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong:
The commitment in this dance was great and I loved the choreography. The turns were very clean and they glided across the floor. I feel she emoted very well in this dance, and I thought her technique was nearly flawless throughout the dance.
Score: 10
Illona Maher and Alan Bersten:
Score: 9
This dance was packed with content and showed how much Illona Maher has improved from her first dance. She really emoted into the role; however, I still think she makes some of her movements small and think she could finish through some of her movements further.
Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold:
Score: 10
I thought Stephen Nedoroscik was fully committed to this dance. This dance was beautifully choreographed and showed off Nedoroscik’s athleticism. There were so many moments where they were completely in sync with each other while doing very complex movements that are difficult to time.
Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber:
Score: 9
I loved Jenn’s emotional commitment to the dance and thought her technique was great except for a few marginal errors. There was so much athleticism in this dance and I think this was one of Sasha Farber’s best choreographed dances on the show. This dance was nearly a 10.
