Lego has announced there will be four new additions to the Botanical series, more commonly known as the LEGO flower builds. The Botanical series is one of LEGO’s most popular lines, and as a LEGO aficionado myself, I ranked the new sets based on which would be best to add to your collection this year.
1. Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet 10,342: 749 pieces, $59.99
The Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet comes in as the best set in the series. This is a great build that is very aesthetic and includes 15 buildable flowers. This set features eucalyptus, cymbidium orchids, elderflowers, roses, ranunculus, daisies, cornflowers, a waterlily dahlia and a campanula.
2. Flower Arrangement 10345: 1,161 pieces, $109.99
At number two, we have the classic Flower Arrangement set. Similar to the Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet, this set has lots of variety. This LEGO uniquely features a buildable “vase” as the base to display the flowers, making it great for decor. From hydrangeas to persian buttercup ranunculus, this set has many different flowers and is especially colorful. The only drawback to this set is its high price point, being the only LEGO on this list above $100.
3. Mini Orchid 10343: 274 pieces, $29.99
Third on the list is a more simple, yet still very aesthetically pleasing piece. This single stem build has five orange/pink orchids in bloom. To hold the piece, the base is a LEGO terracotta-resembling pot. Although a smaller set, it still is a great addition to the series, and at a lower price point it is a great option.
4. Lucky Bamboo 10344, 325 pieces, $29.99
Lastly, we have Lucky Bamboo, featuring three green bamboo stems sprouting from a wood-effect plinth. The build also features loose gray pieces in the plinth to give an effect that there are stones at the bottom. Although a very nice set, this LEGO comes in last on the list due to the absence of flowers that the other botanical builds have.
