As Disney Channel starts to shift its programming, Gen Z looks back on the movies they grew up on. They are full of great music and funny characters that can put the viewers in a better mood. As the most classic Disney Channel original movie, all 3 movies are included in this one. All 3 of the movies are full of iconic characters and music and will forever be timeless. When road-tripping, this is a great series to kill time watching.
2. Lemonade Mouth
When this movie came out in 2011 it became a favorite for many people. Filled with all different types of music and relatable characters, it’s obvious that this movie would be second on the list. This movie is great for all times of the year and is sure to brighten your day.
3. Camp Rock 2
While this is the second movie in a series, it can be watched separately. This movie has all the original characters from the first movie, but it tells the story of a music battle between two different summer camps. Starring Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas, this movie was a classic in the early 2000’s.
4. The Hannah Montana Movie
This movie was filmed as the show was taking place. Both the Hannah Montana movie, and series, are filled with great music and entertaining characters. This show is great for all ages and can always provide a laugh.
5. Descendants
One of the more recent Disney Channel Original movies, this series tells the story of four villian’s children. It was directed by the same director as High School Musical and Hocus Poccus, Kenny Ortega. As Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos head to a new school they learn important lessons about friendship and family.
6. Princess Protection Program
In a movie starring Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, this film is a forgotten treasure. It’s filled with a story of friendship and is entertaining for all ages. Princess Protection Program is a great movie to watch with friends and is sure to make a fun movie night.
7. Adventures in Babysitting
This is the 2016 adaptation of the classic from 1987 that stars Sabrina Carpenter. It has lots of moments for people of all ages to laugh and enjoy. Not only is this movie good by itself, but if looking for a double feature, watching the original to compare would make a great movie night.
8. Let it Shine!
As one of the most unappreciated Disney Channel Movies, this movie is for all ages. Some of the music is very popular and most people don’t even realize that it’s from the movie. This film stars Tyler James Wiliams and Coco Jones and was released in 2012.
9. Teen Beach Movie
And finally even though there are more Disney Channel movies, Teen Beach Movie is the final one on this list. This movie is full of lively song and dance and is sure to put you in a better mood after watching. Specifically, this movie is a great one to watch with friends on a cool summer night.
