One Direction
One Direction is, without a doubt, the best boy band of our generation. Although they are no longer together, they have a fan base that continues to grow. With five albums, they have an accomplished discography for their limited time together.
Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers are a very unique boy band considering they are all brothers. They formed in 2005 and took a six year hiatus in 2013, but when they returned they were back and better than ever. Their fans aren’t as vocal or die hard as Directioners, but they have been ever loyal for the last 20 years.
5 Seconds of Summer
Although 5SOS isn’t as popular as One Direction or the Jonas Brothers, they undoubtedly have had their share of hits. Together since 2011, the band has been going strong for nearly 15 years, releasing five albums with countless bangers.
The Beatles
The Beatles are the original boy band. Formed in 1960, their reign was before the term boy band even surfaced, but their largely female fan base along with the traditional pop songs fit the title perfectly. Despite the fact that the band is long over and the living members are into their 80s, their music continues to gain listeners and fans.
Backstreet Boys
Together since 1993, the Backstreet Boys have withstood the test of time. Although they are more popular among millennials than Gen Z listeners, there is no doubt that they are a classic boy band. Even if someone isn’t a fan of their music, it’s almost guaranteed they will know a few Backstreet Boys songs.
