Starring Joe Gatto, Sal Vulcano, Brian Quinn and James Murray, TruTv’s “Impractical Jokers” is arguably the funniest reality television show on TV. It follows four lifelong friends in their everlasting quest to embarrass each other. Arguably the funniest part of the show is the punishment segment at the end every episode during which the worst performing member must do and say whatever he is told by the others. Here are some of the funniest punishments.
Honorable Mentions:
– Murr’s Colonoscopy
– Sal’s unbearable ringtone
6. Murr’s panel session
After taking some heavy losses during the episode, Murr was forced to participate in a panel discussion while wearing headphones controlled by the other guys. When asked a question, the others would turn Murr’s headphones all the way up so that he would not be able to hear the question; they would then force him to answer with the most ridiculous response.
5. Quinn’s baseball proposal debacle
In what is arguably the most awkward punishment in the entire show, Q’s fake wife (played by an actress) called Q onto the baseball field before a professional game. She then asked him to marry her, to which Q was forced to respond “no”.
4. Murr’s skydiving day
Everyone took advantage of Murr’s fear of heights when they forced him to go skydiving as a punishment. Later clips showed that Murr texted his family before getting on the plane, since he was so scared of jumping off the plane. Though it may have been the worst punishment for a joker, it was not the funniest.
3. Joe’s acting manager gig
In this punishment, Joe was forced to pose as the manager of a restaurant. He was tasked with discovering which of the tables were fake; to find the correct table, he had to either sit on the table or jump on them.
2. Sal’s Bingo
In a room full of senior citizens, Sal was forced to participate in a Bingo night, only he had to falsely call bingo every time the guys told him to. Eventually, the rest of the players got angry, heckled at him, and wanted to kick him out.
1. “Like a Boss”
It is difficult to truly deem one punishment as the “funniest”. This one, however, certainly comes close. In this punishment, Murr would repeatedly yell out “like a boss” during a woman’s presentation. It does not sound that bad for Murr, but the awkward situation in which Murr puts himself is both funny and uncomfortable for the viewer.
