As March begins for many PV students, imagining being on spring break is the push to get through school. In a couple of weeks, students will spread out across the U.S. and other countries to enjoy a week of relaxing with no school. Whether chilling on the beach, hiking through mountains or swimming with fish, there are a couple of things that are important to think about when packing before taking off. These are 7 things not to forget to bring on spring break this year:
Digital Camera: For many PV students, digital cameras are all the rage. The little device takes phenomenal photos in a few simple clicks. They are super portable and allow for a simple way to take cute photos with your best friends to post on Instagram later. Digital cameras can be expensive, but Amazon often has nice ones on sale. It’s great to add to the cart when placing the order.
Charger: Obviously, spring break is a week for PV students to relax and enjoy a break from school. Whether traveling or sitting on the couch at home, it is fun to be able to use a phone to watch shows, play games, or keep in touch with friends. So it is important to have a charger to keep the phone battery up.
Sunscreen: This is important when traveling near the equator, which receives the most direct sunlight and therefore has the highest levels of UV radiation than anywhere else in the world. Those UV rays are what make you tan. Although tanning is really fun if you’re not careful, a sunburn will happen quickly. The number one way to combat this is by using sunscreen. It will still allow tanning, just blocks a sunburn from forming.
Water Bottle: No matter where students end up, it is important to stay hydrated. The hot sun beating down makes the body use water faster, which is vital for keeping body temperature regulated, among other things. So bringing a water bottle and having it on hand is the smart thing to do in order to ensure safety while traveling. Just make sure to empty it before going through security.
Sunglasses: Sunglasses can be added to a simple outfit for a cute accessory or for practical use. They are a great thing to pack because they are a double-use item. There are plenty of cute options, and there is a wide range of them to choose from. From skinny and stylish to big and bold, there is an option everyone will like.
Speaker: When hiking or getting ready for the day, blasting music always brightens the mood. Having a speaker at hand allows for quick and easy dance parties in the hotel room with best friends. Music always sets the mood, whether it is happy, sad or angry, being able to blast music during the day on spring break makes for a lot of fun.
Good Vibes: Spring break is the time to let go of the stress back home, so it is essential to have fun wherever that might be. It is important to bring positive energy and good vibes to make sure spring break is the most enjoyable it can be. Be happy, whether that is in the mountains, on a beach, in the city, or in the ocean and don’t forget to have fun.
