School lunches in America are not known for being the most delicious meals but the lunch staff at Pleasant Valley High School know how to deliver some delicious meals from time to time. Everyone has different preferences but here is a list of the top seven school lunches at PVHS.
- Chicken Mashed Potato Bowl. This meal is a great homestyle cooked meal served with mashed potatoes complemented with warm gravy and chicken. This meal is a good solid consistent meal but there are definitely better options.
- Sandwich Bar/ Salad Bar. At the number six spot is the build your own stations. This meal is what many students rely on day-to-day and is always a reliable option if the main meal is not desirable.
- Nachos. This option is a very solid option and a popular dish. Accompanied by the nachos are queso, meat and an option of salsa. This is a flexible meal because students can choose to dip their nachos in queso or salsa depending on their preference.
- Walking Tacos. Walking Tacos is a great traditional meal that offers many different ways to personalize ones walking taco to their desire. The meal offers beef, cheese and a bag of Doritos. Beyond those three base items you can add different vegetable options.
- Burrito Bowl. This meal is a rare meal at PVHS but broadly liked when it comes around. The meal offers choices between beef and chicken accompanied by queso and some smaller chips. This meal is liked because of the flexibility of what people could put on it.
- Pizza. There is really no explanation here for why pizza is easily on the podium. Whether it’s Papa Johns, Little Caesars or Dominos the options are consistently good and liked by the majority of students. The lunch staff covers all the bases by including cheese, sausage and pepperoni pizza choices.
- Louisiana Chicken. The meal that takes home the gold is Louisiana Chicken. This option has a delicious crispy chicken patty on a bun. Although this meal is simple it is always constantly a delicious choice.
