- The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Exhibit: This event is taking place at the Figge from June 12 until September 25. This exhibit features 175 items from the first edition book. This is the largest memorabilia in the world of The Wizard Of Oz. They are hoping to make a museum of the items at the exhibit soon. For the admission cost, visit www.figgeartmuseum.org.
- Quad City Writers Social Mixer: This event takes place at Bennigan’s Grill and Tavern. The event will take place on September 28, October 26, and November 30. Writers of any skill level are welcome to come share story ideas, tips, and spread goodwill among other writers. The cost for admission is free to everyone!
- Good for Your Gut Smoothie Class: This class at the Quad City Food Hub will teach participants how to make three different kinds of smoothies. Call (563) 265-2455 before September 6 to guarantee your spot in the class. The cost for admission is $25.00.
- Teen Gaming: Come to the Davenport Public Library on September 7 between 2:30 and 5:00. Participants will get to test out different gaming systems such as the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U. There will also be different card games to play such as Dungeons and Dragons and Yu-Gi-Oh games. The cost for admission is free to everyone!
Construct for Charity Fashion Show: This event takes place at State Street Interiors and Furniture on September 8 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. There will be four local charities that use residential fabrics and materials. Designs can be voted on by donation of $1.00. The fee for admission is $5.00.
