The Boy’s Golf Team at PV is one of the sports you don’t hear a lot about. Their meets are usually during the school day, making it challenging for Spartan Nation to go out and cheer them on, but the golfers do not see that as an issue. According to Cole Edwards, senior, “When people come to the meets it can make us nervous.” You don’t have to go to the golf meets to support the boys. Their next meet is June 22 at Thunder Hills in Dubuque, so when you see them in the hallway, wish them good luck.
Last season the boys did better than expected at the state meet, and this year they are even more confident. CJ Roethler, senior, says, “Going in, we weren’t expecting to do well, but the guys are actually doing better compared to last season.” Another hopeful golfer is Ryan Brohm, senior. Brohm is already looking towards the state meet, saying, “If we make it to state, I feel we have a good chance at not getting last place. We have six players who can shoot good scores, and anything can happen.” Brohm is confident in the team and believes they can be a top ten contender.

Good article about the golf team. Can’t wait to see what else the golf team can accomplish.
