Homecoming week is finally here, and with that comes the beloved Homecoming Court! These wonderful individuals were selected by the 2018-2019 senior class to be this year’s Homecoming Court. This week, the entire student body will vote for who they would like to be their Homecoming King and Queen. Below are some snippets of information about the candidates (because who doesn’t like to know all of the celebrity gossip these days?) :

Ely Adams

What is your weirdest high school memory?

• “Somehow getting elected to homecoming court.”

Favorite Sport?

• “Baseball of course.”

What are you most looking forward to this week?

• “Friday’s football game.”

Vashi Chintalapalli

What is your favorite high school memory?

• “Presenting one my short films at the Iowa Speech Festival and qualifying for the state competition. Also, a moment with Ike Sears at History Bowl Nationals.”

Favorite fast food restaurant?

• “Uhhh idk but you can get 3 tacos @ Azteca in a couple min. Those r pretty good i guess.”

What are you most looking forward to this week?

• “I am very excited to twin with muskan every day this week.”

Spencer Clark

What is your most embarrassing high school moment?

• “I had to do a quick change during Sweeney Todd my sophomore year. My friend and I were told to change in the girls’ dressing room, but I don’t know if anyone told the girls! The first time we tried it, the door burst open and we were standing there like pantless deer in headlights!”

Favorite musical?

• The Book of Mormon

What are you most looking forward to this week?

• “I’m looking forward to everything this week, but I’m most excited to ride in a convertible with Solange!”

Grant Zimmerman

What is your favorite moment from your high school football seasons thus far?

• “It is beating Dubuque senior to go to the playoffs last year, but hopefully we can beat North Scott and I’ll have a new one.”

Favorite video games?

• “Batman Arkham City or any fifa game.”

What are you most looking forward to this week?

• “I’m excited for the parade and dance, but I am most excited about the game on Friday.”

Odin McDonald

What is your favorite memory from elementary?

• “ Any time the school served pizza in elementary school, I would trade it with Vashi Chintalapalli for his homemade lemon rice. My mother never made Indian food,and his mother wouldn’t let him get school lunches, so it was a perfect trade”

Favorite sport?

• “I love nearly all motor sports, hockey, curling, and wrestling.”

What are you most looking forward to this week?

• “Brenner Stickney is driving Natalie Murphy and I in his 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible for the parade. Who wouldn’t be excited for that?”

• “Attend a 4 year university and pursue a career working with young children.”

• “I love the ability to support and participate in many different activities while having plenty of support from Pleasant Valley High School staff.”

• “This is a hard one but, I think I’d had to go with a double shot iced americano with a half ounce of vanilla in a 16oz cup.”

• “I am most excited for all the spirit days and going ALL out!”

• “My favorite memory was going on the school trip to Spain!”
