Take a look at the upcoming fashion trends for Spring 2021.

Warm weather is finally upon us, meaning it is time to switch up our closets and keep up with the new trends. Spring is known for being the time for pastels and fun colors, but there are some neutral colors here to stay this season too. Girly styles are in, but not without some edgy hints too. Enjoy my picks for the top 10 fashion trends this spring.

  1. Sage Green
    • This ongoing trend is going to stick around for the spring. Sage green is the perfect color for spring and represents all the new plants coming in to bloom. Whether it is a simple top or a sage sweater, it is the perfect color to accent your favorite pair of jeans. It complements all skin tones and should definitely be a part of your wardrobe this spring.
  2. Turtlenecks
    • The ultimate layering piece you need in your closet. Turtlenecks are the best thing to grab when you want to spice up a t- shirt or even a baggy sweatshirt. Whether they are a basic color or something more extravagant, turtlenecks are the perfect top you need in your closet.
  3. Tote Bags
    • This is a great way to stay on trend with a casual style: whether you are carrying your books to study at your local coffee shop or taking home groceries. Some are a simple neutral, but many come with fun designs and can be a great way to support some of your favorite artists.
  4. Brown
    • Brown is the new black. Whether it be tan or more of a chocolate brown this neutral tone is here to stay. Pants, tops, sweaters and loungewear all look so chic in brown, and it pairs with almost anything you can think of, making it really useful to keep in your closet.
  5. Puff Sleeves
    • The cutest sleeve that makes you feel like a princess. Puff sleeves are one of my favorite trends this spring. It’s such a cute style that is extremely flattering. A top with puff sleeves can make a simple outfit look cute and chic.
  6. Simple Basics
    • Back to basics! The easiest way to have a wardrobe you love is to have pieces you can wear with anything and everything. Having tops in neutral tones and simple styles can help to elevate your outfits when you decide to wear another piece that might be more extravagant. Basics are always the perfect go-to items and help when you just don’t know what to wear.
  7. Wrap Skirts
    • These have been trending for a while now, but I have been seeing a ton of them recently. I really think they will have their moment this spring. Such a girly piece that is perfect for the warm weather and can be paired with many different styles.
  8. Bubblegum Pink
    • The brightest and most fun color you need in your wardrobe this spring is bubblegum pink. Making the perfect statement color in your spring outfit whether you use it as the main piece or as a fun accent.
  9. Leather
    • Leather is another trend that has been around for a while but is here to stay. Leather blazers and pants will continue to be all the rage this spring, and they give an edgy element to an otherwise boring or simple outfit.
  10. Wide Leg Pants
    • As Gen-Z will tell you, skinny jeans are out. They have had their time, but now we are onto bigger and better things, literally. Wide leg pants are going to be a super big trend this spring, and they come in all different colors and fabrics. Whether they are corduroy or gingham they are always cute. Sorry millennials but it’s time to say goodbye to skinny jeans and hello to wide leg pants.
