Glacier National Park

Located in northern Montana on the border of Canada, Glacier offers a wide variety of different valleys carved out over thousands of years. The breathtaking views across the park are offered to those who plan to stay for only a few days or the whole season. Hikes in the park can vary from a nice walk along the glacial lakes all the way to difficult mountain climbing for experts. However, many of the park’s peaks are accessible to all. Glacier National Park is far away and one of the most beautiful places in America according to many travelers and outdoorsy men and women alike.

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite is sure to make the list with its wide variety of wildlife and expansive natural beauty. It is located in the middle of California and is mainly known for its large granite outcroppings and is a special place to many climbers around the world due to its unique cliffs and faces. However, for the average visitor to the park, there are many miles of hiking trails that lead to spectacular views through sequoia groves and right up to huge waterfalls.

Zion National Park

Zion national park is filled to the brim with different things for visitors to experience. The national park, which is one of many in the four corners region of the US, is home to thousands of different species of plants and animals. The low canyons provide lush forests and flowing streams while the higher elevations in the park provide great views of the canyon and create large plateaus. One of the most unique and famous climbing trails in the park is Angel’s Landing, which leads hikers up switchbacks before a hike to the peak where they can view the entire park.

Olympic National Park

Olympic national park can be found right along the western coast of Washington. It is home to vast forests, glacial formed peaks and a rough coastline consisting of beaches, tidepools and various rock formations. It is one of the wettest places in the US, which provides a great place for plants to thrive and creates a unique ecosystem in the forest. Olympic national park has everything a visitor could want to see and is a gem hidden away in the corner of America.
