Fall is officially here and while students may still be sweating in a school that claims to be air conditioned, cold weather is just around the corner. With a different season, comes various styles of clothing. Everyone can say a tearful goodbye to sun dresses and tank tops and welcome bundles of jeans, off the shoulder tops, sweaters, and boots.
Fall is full of rich colors such as deep red, burnt orange, emerald green, chocolate brown, and lacey black. According to Forbes, this season’s fashion trends for women will include light jackets, knee high boots, floral patterns, velvet tops, tie long sleeve blouses, ruffled scarves, trench coats, and fringed jeans. In order to achieve a classic warm, fall look, women can layer up their clothing and decorate with accessories. Dangly gold hoop earrings and a simple watch can add personality to an outfit.
Myra Bowe prefers to shop for clothes and accessories at Francesca’s, Charming Charlie’s, Hibbett Sports, and Dicks. Bowe said, “I think some of the fall trends are going to be wearing fall colored lipsticks and lace fringed socks to wear with boots.” She believes students have the best chance of finding cute clothes at T.J. Maxx and most stores at NorthPark Mall.
NorthPark Mall may be limited in the stores it has to offer, but the local boutique, Francesca’s promises to offer a variety of fashionable clothing. Employee, Mackenzie Mehmert, said, “Francesca’s most popular fall items seem to be the blanket scarves and flannels. We got a new shipment in so we have a ton of fall clothing right now. This includes cardigans, pullovers, and tons of new jeans.”
T.J Maxx continues to be a favorite place for people to shop, stay under a budget, and continue to rock high end brands. People in the Q.C. depend on this store to bring out the trendiest clothing but within a reasonable price range. T.J Maxx is a discount retail chain that provides Designer Brands for up to sixty percent off. This includes brands such as Calvin Klein, Free People, Belle Vere, and Few Moda.
This fall season is bringing forth vibrant patterns and colors. Students can look forward to the usual sweaters but also delight in the new and unique trends of 2017. This fall season is all about trying different styles, designs, and fabrics.
