Scott County polling stations closed last night at 8 p.m marking the end of the local election cycle. This election was somewhat out of the ordinary with many seats being hotly contested.

Contested and significant elections:

Bettendorf:

Alderman At Large  -Lisa Brown beat Kylah Rasche  649-581

2nd Ward Alderman Scott Naumann – Scott Naumann with 177 votes

4th Ward Alderman – Gregory Adamson with 207 votes

Park Commissioner – Larry Makoben beat Steven Wilger 949-918

LeClaire:

Mayor – Ray Allen with 323 votes

City Council members — Amy Blair with 344 votes, Barry Long with 326 votes, and John Smith with 219 votes.

Davenport:

Mayor – Frank Klipsch with 5,551 votes

Alderman at Large – Kyle Gripp with 4,500 and JJ Condon 3,535

1st Ward Alderman – Rick Dunn with 554 votes

2nd Ward Alderman – Maria Dickmann beat Mike Prunchak 422-290

3rd Ward Alderman – Marion Meginnis beat Wil Patton 522-84

4th Ward Alderman – Raymond Ambrose beat Susan Weir 596-363
5th Ward Alderman – Rita Rawson with 587 votes

6th Ward Alderman – Richard Clewell beat Sean Liddell 921-805

7th Ward Alderman – Mike Matson with 604
