- Iowa City
If you’re looking for the buzz of a college town, Iowa City is the place to find it. With lots of local restaurants and shops, Iowa City can provide you with a lot of entertainment and keep you busy for a day trip. Plus, the University of Iowa campus is a great place to tour while you are there!
- Geneseo
Go to Geneseo this summer if you want a taste of Victorian heritage. With streets lined with restored Victorian houses and beautiful trees that bring in a pop of color in the fall. There are many attractions that can satisfy a number of interests. The Geneseo Community Park District has activities ranging from indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the historic downtown Central Theater. Looking to quench your thirst for adventure? Galena should definitely be on your road trip list. There are a multitude of outdoor activities that are perfect for anyone who is looking for adventure this summer. You might find yourself racing down the Alpine slide or even enjoying the view on the Soaring Eagle Zipline, all at the Chestnut Mountain Resort. Going to the oldest city in Iowa is a must this summer. With warmer weather, the city of Dubuque begins to bloom, with outdoor markets and dining. You’ll find yourself enjoying live music and great food, while also connecting with local artists, farmers and business owners.
