The top 5 places to get holiday drinks this year in the Quad Cities.

Starbucks

Starbucks is known to announce its holiday drinks every year. Currently, the original ones are back again. The drinks include the Peppermint Mocha, Sugar Cookie Almond Milk latte, Chestnut Praline latte, Caramel Brulee latte, Irish Cream Cold Brew and the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha.

Dunn Brothers

Dunn Brothers have the usual Candy Cane Mocha. The drink includes white chocolate, peppermint and candy cane pieces. This year they also have the Cookie Butter Nirvana, a cold brew, and a Roasted Hazelnut Chai.

Atomic

Atomic recently announced their holiday drink selections. The Avalanche, a white chocolate and toasted marshmallow latte, can be ordered all year. The Yeti is a brown sugar cinnamon and salted caramel latte, and the Peppermint Bark is a white chocolate and peppermint mocha.

392 Coffee always has new and unique drinks for each season. Ginger Snap Chai is a chai with ginger syrup, Mr. Grinch is matcha with honey, vanilla creme and chocolate milk and Naughty Nog is a latte with salted caramel bourbon and eggnog. Holiday Cheer is a five-shot espresso and bourbon caramel latte. Christmas Classic is a mocha and Wintermint latte. Finally, White Christmas is a Ghirardelli white chocolate and winter mint latte.

Coffee Apothecary

Coffee Apothecary always has fun-themed drinks, and their holiday menu is no exception. The drinks all have a themed name to go with the character of the cafe. Abundamort is a banana and hazelnut latte. Dendtrite is a stroopwafel latte. Mitochondria is a wintermint, mocha and white chocolate latte. The Bowlby is a masala chai with almond and cranberry spice cold foam. Neuroplasticity is a maple butter pecan latte. The Lucid Dream is a cold brew with vanilla rooibos and mocha cold foam. The Wolfsbane is hibiscus rose and earl gray tea with oat milk. The Tetris Effect is matcha with taro and vanilla bean. Finally, the Amoeba is a Monster energy drink with cranberry, orange and white chocolate. These drinks are all unique to the local shop.

The Quad Cities is filled with countless coffee and drink houses and these five are ones to mention when it comes to festive drinks.

Emma Vaaler is a senior at Pleasant Valley and will be serving as the photo manager of the Spartan Shield this year. She is 17 years old, was a dancer for most of her life, and lived overseas for seven years in Finland and Russia. She is a lifeguard at the Outing Club and a barista at Dunn Brothers Coffee. Emma is looking forward to graduating in May and attending an undecided university to major in marketing. She loves to travel and has spent a huge part of her life taking trips around the world with her family exploring new cultures. Emma enjoys being on frontline, cheering on PV student-athletes, and is excited for the rest of the year. In her free time, she spends time with friends, getting coffee, and playing with her dog, Apollo. Emma enjoys writing and managing social media and is excited about her role in the Spartan Shield this year.
