Taking up room on the Billboard Hot 100 week by week, one of country music’s biggest stars, Morgan Wallen, performed at The Vibrant Arena on Sept 8th.

Wallen initially gained fame from his participation on the reality television show “The Voice.”. After making it to the playoffs on season 6 of NBC’s hit show, he steadily rose to fame until the release of his break-out single, “The Way I Talk” on July 29th of 2016.

Wallen sang at the Vibrant Arena at the MARK in a sold-out show of over 12,000 fans–all of whom were thrilled to hear the musician perform.

Prior to the concert, Vibrant Arena announced free parking to all in attendance of the concert–a great start to the day for fans, considering the hundreds of dollars they’d spent to see their favorite artist.

Once the show began, fans, like Pleasant Valley senior Maddy Huber, were content to hear the original set list, but were graced with a surprise. “Hearing your favorite artist live is always an amazing experience. Also, it was his first time playing ‘Me to Me’ live so that was a unique experience for Moline,” Huber said.

Similar to Huber, Wallen fan Brooke Yulga had an unforgettable experience at the Morgan Wallen concert. “The people [that were] all so happy to be there, so involved in getting pictures and videos, all while living in the moment, made the concert that much more special.” Yulga relished the entire concert experience, including merchandise and photo opportunities. “I loved the merch and the exclusive photos we got from just the Moline concert. Morgan made everything special and didn’t miss a single note the whole time,” Yulga added.

However, Yulga was not thrilled with Wallen’s choice for the opening song, “Up Down,” expressing, “I didn’t love the song he chose to open [with], it was a song in collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, and I wish it was something just he wrote off his newer album, not one of his older songs.”

However, Yulga and Huber had few complaints about their concert experience and would love to attend another concert of Wallen’s. It is safe to say that Morgan Wallen’s concert was highly regarded and cherished by concert attendees.
