The Pleasant Valley Men’s bowling team had an exciting meet this last Tuesday night against Bettendorf High School. Pleasant Valley won by a huge lead of 3167-2908, leaving them undefeated this season. Pleasant Valley’s front line even made an appearance at the meet to cheer on the bowlers.
The Pleasant Valley men’s bowling team is making a statement, that hasn’t been made in a couple of years. They are running a clean sweep so far in their season. The team is currently on a 7-0 winning streak and the bowlers could not be more excited.
The team practices multiple times a week at multiple different alleys. Senior from Pleasant Valley, Scott Henrichs, said, “What separates us from the other teams is the time we put in at other bowling alleys, so the other teams in the MAC never really have the home-court advantage.”
What has also helped this team a lot this season is all the time they spend together outside of practice and meets. “Being close to all of the varsity team has really helped us connect and bowl well this season,” said Henrichs.
They are onto sub-state next, and hoping for some big wins there that will take them to the state meet. “All we can do is practice hard, focus and try our best, and hopefully we can bring home a state title for Pleasant Valley,” said Henrichs.
