It’s a sweep! Both the Pleasant Valley Boys and Girls Track Teams completed their first place finishes at the district state qualifying meet in Eldridge last Thursday. Both teams prevailed over second place finishers from Bettendorf. The meet produced lots of state qualifiers from both teams that have set the teams up for great finishes at the state meet in Des Moines on Thursday through Saturday ( May 18-20).
The PV Girls Track Team had a rough weekend at the Drake Relays, but the girls team have been on a roll through their last two meets. Entering state as MAC Conference and District champions, the girls team is in prime position for a trophy finish this week. IowaRunJumpThrow.com has the girls squad ranked #3 in the power rankings coming into the meet. With a huge number of qualifiers, the girls team will have plenty of opportunities to accumulate some points. State qualifiers include:

The boys team prevailed over rivals Bettendorf, while setting up plenty of first and second place finishes to qualify for state. Currently, the boys team is outside of the top 5 for power rankings, but they could pull out some surprises at the state meet. State qualifiers include:
