Drip Harder

Drip Harder

Lil Baby and Gunna come with the heat in their collaboration on the album Drip Harder. The album solidifies the two rappers as one of the best collaborations on an album during this new era of rap. Lil Baby and Gunna are one of the best new rap duos and their latest project develops a chemistry and brotherhood few others can lay claim to.

The duo has collaborated multiple times before the album on songs such as Life Goes On and Harder Than Ever. All of their joint projects have been received extremely well by fans, with many calling for the rappers to work together on a whole album. In response, Gunna and Lil Baby gave them what they wanted and released Drip Harder. As said by Tre Reyes-Sutton, junior, “These two are probably one of my favorite duos in the mumble rap game. This album is one of my favorites for sure.”

The album is a very melodic, smooth album. Many of the songs are about the rappers having acquired a new, higher standing in the hip hop world and the success that came with it. They constantly talk about having designer brand clothes and expensive cars. This is all done on a very relaxed, mellow beat that allows the rappers’ lyrics to be highlighted.

Drip Harder has garnered a majority of positive reviews, with many saying that as of now, they are the best duo in the rap game. Ethan Brown, a junior at Pleasant Valley, said, “Lil Baby and Gunna are good together because their voices are different but they compliment each other very well.”

This combo is one that will be remember for years to come, the duo has good chemistry with one another and they are able to create quality music that goes very well with the times. Brown also says, “Gunna has more melodic vocals and Lil Baby can deliver strong verses.” This collaboration is a good showing for both rappers and they make their mark in an ever growing rap industry.
