My two cents you never asked for…

Promiscuous Halloween costumes

You never asked me about your unoriginal, promiscuous Halloween costumes, but I’m going to tell you anyway.

So here’s the skinny: it’s all about balance and confidence. I am not here to judge you, or even tell you what you can and cannot wear! But you’re here for my opinion, aren’t you?

If you feel confident in your costume, then that’s all that really matters. Don’t let anyone tear you down, because odds are they’re just jealous. Confidence is key. If you don’t feel confident showing it all off, then it’s easy: don’t. You can totally be cute and covered. Who knows, maybe that’ll be the new trend this year. If you want to show it all, then flaunt what you’ve got and be proud. I’d definitely be prepared for some judgment, though. (I mean come on, it’s high school.)

Be creative. I’m tired of seeing all the bunnies and the cats. I mean, really? You have to have more than just a bra, spandex, and ears to make a costume. Pinterest should be your best friend when Halloween comes around. Get artsy and make your own costume from things you can find at a craft or thrift store…and if you get it from the latter, do me a favor and wash it first.

If you really aren’t one to bedazzle your own bra or cut and sew some random pieces of fabric, then online shopping and local Halloween shops will come in handy. Unfortunately, you may end up spending a fortune. Pick your poison, I guess.

Halloween should be fun. It’s an excuse to dress up and pretend to be someone/something different. You can find group costumes for you and your friends, a couples’ costume for you and your significant other or you can just rock a costume solo. It’s all on you, but get creative. I’ll be keeping an eye out for the best costumes…so don’t let me down.
