Along with college, grades, graduation and the many other stressful things senior’s minds are wrapped up in, comes graduation parties. Let’s face it, graduation parties are to honor your many accomplishments made throughout highschool, but also for all the people you’ve never met to get a chance to say “I used to change your diapers”. With that, here are the 8 most important things you need at your graduation party to appeal to your guests.

        1.  Food

It goes without being said that food is the most important part of your graduation party. Many guests will come to celebrate you but to be frank, food is often times the main reason guests make an appearance. Some small appetizers and finger food are great things

       2.  Beverages

After hours of conversing on a warm May or June day, there is no doubt your   guests will be thirsty. It is essential to provide refreshing drinks other than just water to those coming to celebrate you such as soda or lemonade.

        3.  Future Plans Board

Graduation parties are to commemorate the end of high school but also to celebrate the future. Whether that future be college, military, or another path, you need something to recognize the next chapter of your life and so you won’t have to answer the question of “what’s next?”

        4.  Olde Towne Bakery Cookies

If you are from the Quad Cities there is a high chance that at some point in your life you’ve experienced the greatness of an Olde Towne Bakery cookie. If you want all your guests to rave about your party to their friends, then you will have these cookies at your celebration. Now if you haven’t had the joy of eating one of their cookies, then I suggest you stop by so you can try the cookies and then include them in your party.

        5.  Picture Boards

At a graduation party there is always a need for pictures. This way the people who do comment on your diaper years can reminisce and see all you’ve done to get to where you are now. Picture boards display your life during your hard work throughout 12 years of schooling. They show the moments that lead up to who you are now.

        6.  Accomplishments

Graduation takes a lot of hard work through four years. The many accomplishments deserve to be recognized. Whether it be honor cords, medals, or other certificates, they need to be displayed to the incoming guests so you can be celebrated.

        7.  Playlist

Nobody likes awkward silences and that’s what your graduation party could be if you don’t have a playlist. There needs to be some background noise while you are busy being congratulated to avoid any unwanted uncomfortable moments.

        8.  A Box

You might be wondering why you need a box. However you do need a box and this box needs to contain a hole in it. This is for those people who want to give you cards to congratulate you and help you for the future.
